Respect(/rəˈspekt/)

  • Definition: "A feeling of deep admiration for someone or something elicited by their abilities, qualities, or achievements."



  • Aside from the definition, respect means alot as it not only teaches us to value ourselves but others aswell.


  • In our society respect can be mistaken for a plethora of different things, such as it being a sign of weakness or not important. This kind of thinking along with a lack of empathy for others and their perspectives have caused a lot of the worlds problems.

Empathy(/ˈempəTHē/)

  • Definition: "the ability to understand and share the feelings of another."



  • Empathy should be a crucial part of our everyday lives, as we not only interact with ourselves but how we choose to interact with others. Sometimes society makes it easy for us to preemptively judge others looking over their perspective.


  • In present day society there are a lot problems caused by simply a lack of Empathy towards others, which only fules further ignorance.

Humbleness(/ˈhəmbəl/)

  • Definition: "having or showing a modest or low estimate of one's own importance."



  • Humbleness should be a crucial part of our everyday lives, as it helps one to know their true potential, by finding their strengths and weeknesses, humbleness also alows us to understand more about others as it teaches you how to think less of yourself respectfully.


  • Patience is something that can be seen more effectively interpersonally as once we find how to control and apply your own patience, the way you interact with others changes.
  • Humbleness in present day society is typically overlooked as it does not seem to be important, when trying to find success. But in reality it is the oposite.

Patience(/pāSHəns/)

  • Definition: "the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset."



  • Patience is an important tool in overcoming frustration both internally and towards others. Patience allows us to suspend judgment long enough to make informed decisions, thus paving the path to a happy and peaceful life.


  • Patience is something that can be seen more effectively interpersonally as once we find how to control and apply your own patience, the way you interact with others changes.

Honesty(/änəstē/)

  • Definition: " fairness and straightforwardness of conduct."



  • Honesty is important because it creates peace of mind and promotes relationships of trust. The benefits of honesty extend to personal health, relationships and society at large.


Discipline(/disəplən/)

  • Definition: "the practice of training people to obey rules or a code of behavior, using punishment to correct disobedience."



  • Discipline is important in every aspect of life in order to be successful and free, and it allows one to have power and control in life. A disciplined person is free of the chaos and temptation that people without that skill experience.


Tollerance(/ˈtäl(ə)rəns/)

  • Definition: "the ability or willingness to tolerate something, in particular the existence of opinions or behavior that one does not necessarily agree with."



  • Tolleranceis important because it opens the door to opportunities and increases the chance for success. Learning to have exposure to different cultures, people and experiences without bias is something that tollerance, respect and empathy can teach you.


Foregiveness(/ˌfərˈɡivnəs/)

  • Definition: "the action or process of forgiving or being forgiven."



  • Foregiveness is important as it is Letting go of grudges and bitterness. When someone you care about hurts you, you can hold on to anger, resentment and thoughts of revenge ,or embrace forgiveness and move forward.
